an update

We've had sick kids at our house this past week. Nothing serious: fever, croup, and a cough for Addie, and then as she started to get over that Ivy ended up with a terrible cough and runny nose. Anyways, like I said nothing serious, and they are both nearly better. The worst of it was the grumpiness that came along with it. But when life is rough, there's always one thing to make Addie Mack happy - - rockin' the sunglasses.


Addie's been making us laugh a lot lately. Some of my recent favorites:

• her fear of the humidifier. She would not let me turn it on in her room. She kept calling it a "gary monster"(that's scary, if you don't speak her language) whenever it was turned on (I can totally understand that. strange sound + weird glow = scary monster). 
  
• this kid can talk up a storm! she says some of the funniest stuff: 
• holy cow
• my mommy's home/ my daddy's home - followed by a hug 
• my ivy
• pretty goooood (so cute when she says it - very drawn out)
• talking about "my cousins" - when I asked her what her cousins' names were she told me "my Marc, my Suzy, my Emily, and my Carter" 
• "gramma bought it" - or who ever did buy whatever she's talking about, and she says this about everything all day long - her clothes? mommy bought it. her "aggie shoes"? daddy bought them. "her" car? mommy and daddy bought it. ... but usually she's right, gramma did buy it. She'll also use that technique to label everyone's possessions around the house.

After my last post, Trevor thought for sure that everyone would want some more info on his bike.  While no one has commented requesting that, just in case you've been on pins and needles, here's his new baby.



I realize there are no pictures of Ivy on this post, which is a shame. but it all comes back to how awful i am at uploading photos. tomorrow, for sure, I'll get around to that.
